The king-size ratholes are typically installed in the auxiliary well centre on rigs fitted with a dual derrick, protecting subsea equipment from falling objects, e.g. drill pipe and drill collars.
The king-size rathole is installed in the rotary table.
It is available for all relevant rotary table sizes and for triple and quadrouple type rigs.
A harsh environment version (retractable, so it can be pulled out of e.g. sea ice) and extended versions for extra long operational length are also available.
More than 20 systems are to date delivered and in operation.
